At the moment there are no open positions available within my group.
There are various fellowship schemes that can be applied to to join my group at Ghent University. If you think you could be a good fit within my research group, feel free to contact me about these possibilities. The Flemish funding agency (FWO) provides two postdoctoral fellowship schemes for varying levels of seniority:
FWO Junior Postdoctoral Fellowship: Normally due mid-November.
FWO Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship: Normally due mid-November.
The European Union also has the Marie Curie Postdoctoral fellowships which can be brought to European institutions. For candidates who already have a PhD and have an excellent track record this is a great opportunity:
The FWO also has fellowship scheme for PhD students:
FWO PhD Fellowship fundamental research: Normally due beginning of March.
Additional funding possibilities could be present through Ghent University. In particular, for students of developing countries in the global south, there is the possibility to co-fund a doctoral degree. This requires joint supervision from a promoter at Ghent University and another one in the partner University located at the other country, with both parties contributing financially.
There are always interesting projects available to pursue as part of a Master thesis. If you're enrolled in the Masters program at Ghent University and are interested to join the team, let me know!
